well... what for a strange to be in holiday in Nice..
i work in Nice and live 10 km away.

Nice IS NOT the right place for culture !
Oh, sorry i forgot that there was the Festival International de Musique
Militaire :-(

very hard to organize a concert here.
very few halls, very few public.
last autumn we organize a concert for Taku Sugimoto & Annette Krebs.
A big success, there was a huge crowd : 40 persons ! ;-)

so you won't find any interesting concert in June. and in July. and in August.
(except one classical indian music but on the 29th June)

to my mind you should rent a car, and go walking in the mountains near :
they ARE the right place.
