buzz / audiomulch

man, so cool you asked about that comparison, last night here in tampa fl, o9 and marumai played, o9 was using buzz and marumari had audiomulch, both had a phat boy midi box, well it was a really good show. I havent spent much time w/audiomuch but both programs are based on the idea of a modular frame work for real-time processing, buzz is a tracking program, but it has an ensamble stage where you connect machines into effects, all these devices are adjustable in real-time, plus the way its set-up is based around the keyboard, so you can program patterns in real-time. I use stuff like soundhack and audioscuplt on my mac for sound creation, then I'll play with it in msp and hd record, then I export the sounds to buzz for arragnment and futher real-time manipulation. shit, its all software, what ever works for you in the end right? you know andreas tillander? he uses buzz for his stuff on raster and mille platuex. I really hate to sound like a salesman, sorry. anyhow buzz does have a learning curve, even installing it to the latest update takes some work, theres no auto install like friutyloops or photoshop.

plus its free and open source, but oskari lost the code so who knows what will happen to it.

ok enough software ramblings from me.
