the Platinum Oasis Performance extravaganza in Hollywood.

We'll be playing all new extra-hypnotic microscopic violin/computer worx
starting around 2am. Don't miss our surveillance/sound installation in
room 206 going on throughout the event.

OUTFEST presents an overnight multimedia endurance fest:
PLATINUM OASIS

This Saturday, July 14th starting 4pm
and going non-stop until Sunday, July 15th 10am

At the Coral Sands Motel
1730 North Western Avenue, just above Hollywood Blvd., east side of street

The curatorial team of Ron Athey and Vaginal Davis in conjunction with
PLATINUM, the experimental wing of OUTFEST, bring you PLATINUM OASIS, an
around-the-clock clairvoyant mega event, featuring artists from around the
world working in sound, surveillance, vaudeville, burlesque and technical
torture devices

Set in the "historic"- pre Stonewall Coral Sands Motel, PLATINUM OASIS is an
18 hour durational smart art festival / co-sexual, post modern, post
operative, bathhouse with 40 rooms of media, interactive, salon, voyeur,
doggie and pupusa style installations. Bring a swim suit if you want to cool
down in the pool!!!

There will be 40 artist rooms which very from one-on-one interaction to peep
show, and a pool side stage with hopefully non-stop acts. Below is a map of
artists and line-up for the poolside lounge. To accommodate so many acts in
a motel with low-audience capacity, the event is split into shifts:

4-8p artist rooms and poolside acts ($10)

8p-12a DJ and free liquor part and artist rooms ($20)

12a-10a artist rooms, private room parties, poolside acts, ending with a
gospel brunch ($10)

there are also 18 hour passes if you want to come and go or are just keen
for the duration ($25)
