re:pimmon

for trainspotters cy was not talking about the conference gig but impermanent.audio
>>pimmon pulled out a very different set, than the one described by kim, on this night...old-school pim with loads of noise and crunch...the set at the conference was different in that it had much more melody and rye humor
>>the old boy never fails to suprise and i can say that live he never does what is expected
(i think i have seen him 6 times [four of which i have put on so i may have been
slightly distracted] and the sets are never the same /nor even close)

kim's set was also much more interesting in the gallery - the conference setting was in a large
performance space and the sounds tended to get lost while the imp.aud gig
was in a gallery with kids sitting on the floor. the change over 15 minute improv between kim and pimmon was great. classic kim with pimmon's humor (he even through in some beats!)...
while kim's set was playout in full on this evening with plenty of audio to think about.

as i have said else where australia. is going off !! << must be something in the VB (beer)

check http://noiseweb.com/angbase/ for an interview with oren

I think it was cy norman anothe rlist member who told me about the live set you speak of, he was there >and said both kim and pimmons set had alot of crunch to it, not sure how one would define crunch, but it >sounds great.
