Hey,
everyone has their roots and varied tastes. Fuck, Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead studied under Luciano Berio and was a classmate to Steve Reich...Point is: sound, ideas, events, correspondence, gear, even self promotion it's all about your attitude. Music is about learning and going places. I have loved electronic music since I was 10 years old (34 now) when I bought Kraftwerks - "Man Machine" but I also took many routes with my taste. And here I am
