Much like rj valeo, I saw Janek Schaefer recently, although it was
the Pittsburgh show on the 6th. Very enjoyable and evocative--I like
rj's use of the term "oceanic." Unfortunately, he had some technical
problems in getting all the channels out of his turntable, but
carried on the show admirably. (I had exactly the same problem in
the same space the week before, although it was certainly one of my
  cables.)

The new CD, _Above Buildings_, is also quickly becoming a fave. A
bit denser and noisier than his set, I'm digging it quite a bit.

Also worth checking out was opener v. stevenson, who's doing a
MAX/MSP thing with field recordings. I liked it.

  Any other finds/obsessions/etc.?

  Heading back to lurk mode,
