Re: [microsound] invalidObject, wow!
I just received my copy of the invalidObject, wow!
Likewise for me, and likewise wow!
It will obviously take a while to digest all of the 24 discs, but
I've made my way through the set, or parts of it, several times.
Right now I am particularly enjoying Scanner, Ekkehard Ehlers (can
anyone tell me about his other work?), Eloy Anzola, *0, and Akira
Rabelais (listen to this in a dark room!)... they make a nice little
quintet in the player. Also amazing sounds from Later Days and
wonderful development of rhythm and variation by Folder. Amazing the
range of ways employed in dealing with the precis... very intriguing!
I know that next time through invalidObject different things will
stand out, and that's a fun thing to look forward to.
Oh yeah, and they're gorgeous too... some covers are just beautiful
(Rsundin), and some made me laugh (Electric Company, especially the
key combo on the CD itself). I know the Void cover required many
trips to the printer, but it turned out quite nicely. I cannot
imagine how much work this was... I put together a series of 6 X 3"
CDs last year and thought I'd die in the process...
Congratulations Christopher!!
Yes indeed, great work Mr. Murphy! And congrats and thanks to all you
audio dogs out there that contributed to the set!
