i totally agree, the best versions ever made of satie music, very dry and
minimal: in one (or two?) words absolutely respectful of satie intentions.
just think i have them on vinyl lp (three volumes with early works
published on philips).
btw. do you know a double lp (i think it's also been reissued on cd) by
vienna art orchestra with arrangements of satie pieces for wind
instruments? it's titled "the minimalism of erik satie" and it's on hat
art: funny and amazing. check it out.
