the rise and fall of the microsound dynasty

yes, both are very nice, from what I heard. But we at Staalplaat (note the correct spelling, I wonder how much we don't get, because spell our name wrong) didn't release anything by them. Our allied label, Mixer, did a 3" CD by Goodiepal, which I highly recommend (even when it's on the fringe of sold out). Certainly a (and not 'the') future direction of 'microsound', me thinks.

...and i agree with you. but there are still surpises out there.

i don't see much talk about Goodiepal or Gamers in Exile or Nish on this list which have really impressed me over the last year. I know they have released work for Staalplat, Unberable Recordings, v/vm and Tigerbeat6.
Far from being pole imitators to me they are really trying to make different routes.
Last goodiepal material i could hear was some absolutely unusula flute+electronics stuff while seems gamers in exile are on the verge on something atonishing keeping their research in the field of asynchronous layers of sound.

I also saw them playing at the danish institute for electroacustic music last june completely covered under a white curtain draped from the top on their personas and equipment. one of the best performance i've seen so far.

is anybody on this list familiar with thier work?
