I checked out the Tactex at NAMM last year and it definately holds alot of
interesting possibilities. For my money and purposes however, The new
MIDIman Surface one, which uses the same technology, is a better bet. It is
configured as a more standard mixer interface, so there isn't as much
rudimentary programing to be done with it. If you're looking for a solid
control interface with tons of options, get the surface one, but if  low
level number crunching turns your crank, get the Tactex.
