What a press kit should contain

>

I use the term," preskit loosely" and for lack of a better phrase.
This is on my mind because I am considering how to best go about bringing some
postmodern/micromusic performances to the Ca. Northcoast (Eureka/Arcata)

A presskit should:

Contain a brief but insightfull definition of micromusic and should allude to
related
    postemodern soundscapes.

A short description of a "typical" (please understand we have to gain the
imagination of
    the uninitiated) performance space/event.

Perhaps a list of places where there have been noteable performances. SF MOMA,
    NYC MOMA, Universities, etc..

Synopsis of some discourse topics. Such as; vertical vs horizontal thinking, Form

vs. Process, Deluezian Machines (I need help with this one.) The problem of
gestural
theater, temporal vs spatial, Semiotics of clicks and cuts....Also, any other
reason the
artforms of sound may be elevated above main stream pop culture but still related
enough to be interesting to the techno kids and other sophisticated listeners
    (particularly jazz) of all kinds.

I confess my philosphical vocabulary is limited but I am very interested in the ideas
many of you have concerning these topics.

Keep in mind a presskit needs to be interesting and unintimidating. Some of the target
audience are in acadamia and others are patrons of the arts. The targeted venue is to
become an extension of a summer event called "Jazz at the Morris Graves Museum".
