RE: [microsound] carefully asking: jmax vs. pd

I tend to use both - jmax hasn't got audio in or audio file support
but it looks nicer and is a little more user friendly. PD whilst being
more "functional" in appearence and attitude has got lots of functions
for audio missing in jmax.

I wish I had an amalgamation of the two.

Given them both a go anyway they are free after all.

Subject: [microsound] carefully asking: jmax vs. pd

i just made a switch to a pc from mac (8 years, and a little sad to go). i
don't want suggestions to wait for max for windows. this type of subject
comes
up here from time to time, and i don't really want to encourage gear
discussions here, but i have a genuine need to know and thought many people
here have well-founded opinions and judgements. feel free to respond off
list.
thanks in advance for your advice.
