that wouldn't be so much fun though. It's just that everybody rushes to get
patents for their wheel, and since anybody can get one now, there is the
overwhelming glut of wheels everywhere - those shiny, flat, silver ones that
play music. But, I still don't know if I would trade it for the days where
only the discovered talents could share their music with the world. That's
another thing actually which is kinda sad, that a lot of us maybe can't feel
validated unless our art is available to the whole world, so the ultimate
goal is to have your art consumed by strangers all over the world (hey they
might even write things about us in a magazine) - I guess sharing with our
loved ones just isn't enough anymore...

I'd have to agree with that one - it's strangely reminiscent of current
corporate strategies - like Club Monaco and The Gap - that's their whole
thing - cleanliness, austerity, destroy that body odour, be free of that
which makes you feel like a mere human being who goes to the bathroom...
minimalism has gotten way out of hand in it's second coming - and again,
it's worse because it's actually perpetrated by the very same forces which
have led us to desire it in the first place - consumerism!
BUY THIS MINIMALIST THING SO THAT YOU CAN FREE YOURSELF FROM THE CLUTCHES OF
ALL YOUR OTHER *STUFF* WHICH TAKES UP MORE ROOM IN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE IT
ISN"T AS MINIMAL!!!!
we can't be so naive to believe that this idea has not infiltrated it's way
into our creative psyches -
that's it - I'm sure everybody is sick of this by now...
