Got this one. It's been quite a long time since I last listened to it so I
don't have very strong recollections of all the pieces. I remember liking
very much "Luminétudes" (or maybe "Lumina"...), though. IIRC. I'll have to
pop those CDs in the player this morning...

These two pieces are in the second boxset so I'm a bit confused as to what
other pieces you are referring to.
The other pieces on the second set I like very much. Actually,
"Mouvement-Rythme-Étude" is among my Henry favorites, maybe just behind the
Apocalypse. I also like "Le Livre des morts égyptien".
Now, if you were indeed talking about the third set but just permutated the
first disc, I'd probably agree with you. I'll have to relisten to
"Futuristie" and "Antagonismes IV" but they were indeed less compelling to
my ears. But the first disc ("Variations pour une porte et un soupir" and
"La Reine verte" -- another favorite of mine) is really great, I think.
I wonder what is next on the list... Maybe "Fragments pour Artaud"? That'd
be nice, I don't have that on CD... And there's this intriguing piece
mentioned in the biography, "Dieu", a 2h30 (!) work based on a poem by
Victor Hugo. I'm also intrigued by the recent "Concerto sans orchestre"
described in the notes for the third set (a mix of a prerecorded tape and
late piano works by Liszt such as "La gondole lugubre" and "Nuages gris").
There's still lots of stuff that could be put out and I think only one set
remains to be released! I hope they will choose wisely... One decision I
felt was dubious was to put the "Fantaisie Messe pour le temps présent"
instead of the original thing in its entirety. Oh well...
