After being kindly informed that Stuffit Expander will indeed unpack the 
..exe files on the SF site ( are these the dos equiv. of a unix shar file 
or something? ), I went back to download them and SF has closed the 
contest sometime between now and late last night, and they're no longer 
there. I downloaded SoundApp and tried it on the files I got from the 
hotline server, and it tells me "invalid file format". These exist 
anyplace else?
