RE: [microsound] Laptop recommendation

i have never understood why so many people have this blue screen thing, what
is it exactly that you do to your pc that it would crash on you like that, i
been using pcs for the last three to four years in different types of live
situation and have never gotten a crash .ll. i especially dont understand
this complain when the registry file system on the pc is more accesible and
flexible in manipulation than the macs, a user friendly shell...

just my opinion...

i second mark vaio is for showoff, but preaty shite machine, very hard to
work with. i would recomend for a live set and stuff a MAC machine since pc
have tendencies to crush (i am not sure u want a blue screen of death on
stage). cubase and most stuff from steinberg makes lots of crushes on win98
and 2000.
if u want to stick to a pc - my solid chocice is the IBM (not IDM) thinkpad.
solid machine.
