Re: [microsound] Where Music Will Be Coming From
I was out of work for almost a year a couple of years back and as opposed to
actually writing music, I spent alot of time learning synth construction /
DSP basics in various environments and web programming. Consequently, I
slowly became more qualified for jobs I was actually interested in , and was
still spending time doing something I enjoyed. I found for the most part
that I wasn't able to bring new projects to term on a musical level, as my
emotional / head space was a little all over the place. Regardless of how
faithful you are to the idea that if you just keep moving in the right
direction the right opportunties will present themselves (which was my
philosophy at the time and continues to be) , being out of work often
entails feeling a little on the poweless side, which can make it difficult
to see a new project threw from start to finish.
