If you´re a modular guy, the nord is the best alternative. I own one kb 
version and i´m very satisfied for my need. I have a mpc2000 for my sampler 
needs, and just miss granular in realtime. the sound chameleon is more 
interesting if you´re more programmer to make your own sounds. I´m waiting 
to see some examples of chameleon to use one instead of reaktor for my 
granular needs. and if you were more hardware orientaded like me, it´s 
better than a laptop on stage.

is there any other piece of hardware that you know than can make granular in 
realtime? the kyma is great, but expensive...
