why are we so dualistic, forcing either/or? ("either you're with us or
against us" a mode that is non-reflective of reality's spectra and
cycles)-- this is our western (as infected by Plato) bias?

why not both/and?

again, I think the factor of *celebrity and quests for fame/vanity* is
underneath the contentious discussion about who and what type of work
should get credit.

perhaps instead of focusing on the devices used, discussion should also
be about the power of vanity and fame and celebrity within the heavily
mediated consumer-corporate-culture of the present moment? and should we
examine and observe it empirically or via a text (Bible text?, Derrida
text?, Deleuze text?) Let's drop the texts, and observe and share
findings...
