Just a reminder, or for anyone who missed it before...

*remember: less than 100KB please & non-interactive*


Ether-2: an online compilation album of Flash based experimental
sound/music pieces

themes: radio noise, static, minimal electronics, gaps, silences, drones,
machines, data, dust...

requirements:

sound/movies must be in the swf format (shockwave, javascript, VB and other
formats are also acceptable as long as they can be targeted from a swf
file).

movies must loop indefinitely, preferably with generative, random or
permutative structures, rather than simple loops.

screen size = 600 x 400 (if you already have work which of different
dimensions it might still be OK but there is the possibility that it may be
cropped or not centered properly)

file size should not exceed 100KB (I'd like the piece to be snappy on
cable/DSL and bearable on dial-up)

THE FILES MUST NOT BE INTERACTIVE (the interface is designed to encourage
passive listening/watching rather than point and click engagement.


deadline: ongoing (as soon as there are enough submissions Ether-2 will be
launched and Ether-3 will be open for submissions).

The interface will be similar to Ether-1 with the exception that all
artists will be fully credited with a short introductory clip at the
begining of each piece.

This is a NOT FOR PROFIT project. If any money made through exhibition, or
other means, it will be distributed among the artists or donated to a
worthy cause (following consensus).
