Dead CEO is a distro/label of hard-to-find releases primarily 
focusing on free improvisation, laptop minimalism, and other 
fringe music occurring in Chicago.

SITE UPDATE
Dead CEO has been doing lots of exciting things in the past few 
months.  The web site has just been relaunched with a fly new 
design.  New releases have been added to the online catalog 
such as Olivia Block, Bob Falesch with Jack Wright, Tiny Hairs, 
and others.  In the upcoming weeks, the catalog will be expanding 
with more artists and there will also be the addition of interviews 
with many Chicago artists.

VARIETY SHOW
Not only has the CEO been busy with recorded media, but Dead 
CEO also is expanding in ways of presenting a variety of 
interesting new music.  A Variety Show will occur in Chicago 
Thursday, May 16, showcasing artists of widely different music 
genres (hip hop, hardcore, free improvisation, electronics) who 
have similarities in their approaches to music making.  This is a 
small attempt to counter the pigeonholing creative musicians often 
suffer.  Its also a large attempt to have a really fun show with 
different kinds of great music!

NEW RELEASE
And lastly, Dead CEO is most proud to have a new release itself, 
the Service Anxiety "The Persistent Inversion of Solution by 
Protective Powers" 7inch record (dceo 004).  Service Anxiety is a 
punk hardcore band from Chicago enamored of free jazz, no-wave, 
and anarchism.  
  
The record comes in exquisite packaging featuring a hand 
letterpressed kraft double gatefold as well as a small poster.  
Because of its handmade nature, it is limited to a pressing of 500.
