Re: [microsound] ???



There is the process of certain types of music becoming diluted as a result of over-exposure (*see Seattle), but with something like microsound it's seems that a bit of exposure is not in and of itself a bad thing. I think a bad thing is not fundamentally understanding the context and environment in which this music is created.

Uneducated, mass-culture oriented publications are out to sell ads and not to inform people about critical music movements, and I personally feel that's where the problem lies. (not to mention the fact that I was a much bigger fan of Mondo 2k, and really hated Wired from the start....but that's a personal matter ;)

Regardless, I would rather see something like this in the pages of Wired, than some shit article on the newest Moby record.
