RE: [microsound] mixing tips/software
I love and agree with Bill's suggestions.
That is, if it is a social situation, make sure you
are trying to mix sounds that will enjoy each other's
company, and that they can all fit and feel comfortable
in the room.
Besides panning and levels, give each sound it's own
frequency space.
Less sounds rather than more.
Cut rather than boost.

When you say 'mix' it sounds more like a social situation to me. Perhaps a
different haircut , new summer attire , or reading Henry James. .
