Yes, and also as you mentioned, speaker placement and the construction,
dimensions, and furnishings of the room are important things to consider.
So some problems encountered aren't really due to the speakers
themselves. I have gotten a good flat response from my pair of Paradigm
Titan speakers. Plus they "project" quite well. I prefer to use studio
monitors such as these for recording as well as "home" listening
usage.
