I agree completely. What turned record companies into this greedy
music-hating business they are now,  was not the search for profit ,but the
short-term vision of maximising profits for this quarter at the expense of
solid profits in the future ( the building of carrers and catalogues). What
fucked up the record bussiness was the indiscriminate swalowing of
independents by ever-growing media companies , monsters like Universal
,Disney , AOL Warner , that have no time for music , movies or for any form
of art , all their attention is devoted  to the bottom line of the next
quarter.
