Jonathan Harvey's "Ritual Melodies" is excellent as
well.

Another academic composer you might want to have a
look at is Eliane Radigue and her "Songs of Milarepa".
 This is a sung work with electronic background based
on the songs of Milarepa, an 11th-century Tibetan poet
who taught through singing. 

I haven't heard the work, so I don't know if the music
would qualify as 'microsound'.
