[microsound] microsound as pop music
>And I mean if one were to sit down and dissect and analyze an Ikeda piece,
>for example, in terms of construction and compositional structure there
>wouldn't that be much to say, you could sum up what's going on pretty

>piece.
but isn't that a deliberate aesthetic decision on the part of the artist? i
thought that part of the point of 'microsound' is to create work that is
uneventful... the simplicity is a decision, and the work can be simple in
any number of ways. in pop music the simplicity is just following an
easy-to-read formula.
