Because a fellow lister posed the question: What is
the distinction between pop and academic music? 
Certainly you percieve different musics as relating to
certain genres, however fluid.  I don't think anyone
would consider N'SYNC academic music; distinctions
exist.  It's an interesting topic because it reveals
how one approaches and perceives the world.
