Call for works - c e n t i b e l

A new online ogg/mp3 label is issuing a call for works.

c e n t i b e l is looking for works that cover a broad range of genres
and styles in experimental digital audio. While all works submitted will
be considered, preference will be given to works that explore concepts
of minimalism and minimality; quiets, silences, and listenings; the
nature of the digital audio medium, "digitality", and (post-)digital
politics/aesthetics. c e n t i b e l also challenges contributors to
move beyond conventions of the microsound genre ("clicks and cuts,"
etc.) to help to evolve new aesthetic tendencies that take advantage of
the microsound's aesthetic insights while offering a way past the
impasse that those insights have tended to produce.

Audio works will most likely be presented in Ogg Vorbis format, an
open-source audio compression algorithim similar to mp3.

Although c e n t i b e l will primarily be an avenue for the
presentation of digital audio, other media (text, image, video, Flash
animation, web art, etc.) are enthusiastically welcomed.

If desired, all artists will retain copyright over their works at all
times, but contributors are also encouraged to consider publishing their
works under "copy-left"-style licences such as the Open Audio Licence (
http://www.eff.org/IP/Open_licenses/eff_oal.html).

Submission guidelines: Works can be submitted in one (1) of two (2)
ways.

1) Via postal mail (see address below), please send submissions on CD-R,
mini-disc, floppy diskette, cassette, phonograph, wax cylinder, paper
tape, punch cards, raw binary handwritten on a sheet of clean white

2) email the c e n t i b e l curator at
hellomynameisphil@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:hellomynameisphil@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> providing a *link* to a site
where your work can be downloaded. If you wish to email sound files
