I have a simple stupid rule: I call artists those who can live without
having a "real" job.

nobody.
Why do musicians not behave like "artists"? :: that is making only one
physical copy of the CD with music and sell this like a painting or a
video? All the other can download the music for free and enjoy it like
we can do with a van gogh painting. I know that maybe Bjork gets more
money from selling a copy to everybody rather then a single copy to a
collectionist, but when a musician sells so few copies because the
audience is so little, why has he to fight to produce a record, often
having also "a real job" to survive? Why can't he do like "those"
artists that sell a (IMHO) not-so-beautiful-picture for 10000 US$?
Some music is more like video art rather then "pop", so why does it
use the same distribution channel of pop system?
This morning I'm not so fine, and I make stupid questions.
Forgive me.
have a nice day.
