It's been a while since I tried it but I seem to remember that scratching
the surface of the cds is pretty hard and that adding stuff to the CDs is
the way to go. Try different stuff like bits of tape, felt pen, paint,
white out, I don't know, vaseline? The CD player itself makes a big
difference too. Newer ones are sometimes too forgiving while older players
will skip with the slightest little scratches and smudges so try different
machines and just experiment.

howdy folks. while the "dialtones - a telesymphony" thread is keeping me
very amused, i'd like to ask if anyone has any links to information about
making prepared cds...i.e. preparing them for skipping, mis-tracking,
glitch-i-ness, etc.
