fri 1 nov eve: Schizophrenic Sounds @ De Vloer, 21:00
Martiens Go Home!
7105
Panacea
Visuals: Minuszero

This evening aims to present difficult music: noise, breakbeats, gabber,
jungle, drum and bass, digital hardcore...music that balances on the thin line
between chaos and order. Belgians Martiens Go Home! will present a different
face from their cinematic appearence at de Hoogt, showing the more extreme end
of their sonic spectrum. Next, Holland's own Bong-Ra will present a fusion
project, colliding different beats and rythms in a live-mix setting. Finally,
German world-class drum and bass innovator Panacea will offer up cuts from his
latest release, "Underground Stardom", which mixes old skool rave themes with
his trademark over-the-top breaks. Visuals for the evening will be the
abstract, micro-worlds of Minuszero.

sat 2 nov: Sweet Electronics @ De Vloer, 21:00
Murcof
Hrvatski
Greg Davis
Visuals: Bas van Koolwijk

In contrast with Friday's Schizophrenic Sounds, this Saturday evening program
focuses on electronic music which is just as complex, but with a sweet side.
American Greg Davis may well have invented the new genre of "laptop folk" by
blending jazz and rock guitar styles with digital processing. On the flipside
is Keith Fullerton Whitman, aka Hrvatski, for whom little is impossible...wild
breaks, quirky melodics and dense sonic forests are what he does best. For this
evening, Davis and Hrvatski will each perform solo before teaming up for a
joint set alongside the live video disturbances of Bas van Koolwijk. Following
up is Murcof, the latest project by Tijuana-based Fernando Corona, who works
primarily with orchestral samples processed into lush atmospheres and beat-
driven landscapes.

Couch Club Discussion Panel:

Sunday 3 November, 16:00
Title: Artist/Software
The current "revolution" in electronic music is often attributed to a small
handfull of user-friendly consumer music software packages. While these
applications can turn anyone's bedroom into a recording studio, they can also
carry a "signature sound" which makes them easily recognizable in the music
they make. In this couch club, we ask two creators of software, IXI software
and Janoschek & Schloemer, and two users of software, Greg Davis and Keith
Fullerton Whitman (aka Hrvatski), to discuss who REALLY makes the music--the
musician or the programmer?

Guests: Greg Davis & Hrvatski, Janoschek & Schloemer, IXI Software
