well, how do you feel about musicians that build their own instruments, or even take 
apart & modify other instruments?  can this not also be considered an integral part of the 
artistic process?  for me, i feel like it is, but then again, most of what i'm into is based in 
free-improv.  so these kinds of decisions, are actually, in my mind, what make up the 
composition.
