Isn't a melody created thru elements of timbre, rhythm and amplitude?

in pop music they call often call this the "hook".
traditionally it's been the melody that is the "hook"
Sometimes it's the bass line or the rhythm though.
Whatever people will remember and can "regurgitate"
themselves...the lyrics, the melodic hook. Humans often
do this thru singing or humming. Most humans have
difficulty reproducing bass hook lines or rhythm hook lines.
How many people can beatbox vocalize a Bonham lick?
How many people can whistle or hum "louie, louie"?
Repetition also helps.
