Laptop questions

Has anyone tried the new imac or heard of its audio and video performance 
capabilities?

Also does anyone use a Dell laptop for live shows? I currently use an older 
Sony Vaio but my use of effects is starting restrict what I can do with it.

I am trying to make a decision to stay PC or convert to MAC.

Any feedback on either would be great.
