R: [microsound] memento

I saw Russian Ark. Really interesting, but it doesn't seem to me
particularly interesting from audio perspective. But maybe it's me.
What do you consider of particular interest?

Two recent viewings making equisite use of sound and image:
Aleksandr Sokurov's "Mother and Son" and Michelangelo Antonioni's
"Red Desert" (criminally allowed to go out of print on DVD).  Now if
only Sokurov's single-take "Russian Ark" would turn up beyond the
festivals...
