Re: [microsound] Movies and Music
a few weeks ago while talking bout movies with friends
i told them if they wanted to see a good movie they had to listen to Michel
Chion.
not only Chion but many other electro-acoustic composers have this aspect in
their
music.
its not that the music fils my head with pictures, or tells me a story, but
when i open my eyes again
after the music is finished it feels like if i have "experienced" a movie,
and if someone asks me about the music i can only tell that what ever it
was, it was real, those sounds take up an almost toucable presence, not just
some empty sound/noise vanishing in to thin air.
Have a nice day...P.
