Position Summary:

The School of Contemporary Arts at the University of Western Sydney 
is a dynamic, cross-disciplinary school offering programs in Fine 
Arts, Music, Electronic Arts,, Theatremaking, Dance and Performance at
Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.. Students work from a personal 
studio base around which all other activities revolve, while 
exploring the range of experiences possible in a multi-arts school.

The School is seeking an energetic, multi-skilled, flexible, 
professional and self- motivated person to teach in the rapidly 
expanding Electronic Arts area. The position is best suited to an 
artist/practitioner with an active research
profile, a capacity to work at undergraduate, honours, and 
post-graduate level, and an empathy for interdisciplinary activity as 
an educational philosophy. The School is interested in appointing an 
artist/practitioner whose
professional practice shows an awareness of contemporary issues in 
the electronic arts. The successful applicant will have expertise in 
two or more of the following areas; New Media, Video Production, 
Animation, Net Art,
Sound and Music Production, Interactive Art, Digital Music 
Composition, Audio Art. Experimental and Post-digital Musics, 
Installation, and Contemporary Arts Theory.

This position will provide career development opportunities for the

professional and community projects, support for individual and 
collaborative research and
extensive interaction with high profile staff pursuing professional 
careers in the contemporary arts
