I would say that Linda Lovelace was all too aware of the state of power
relations in the industry circa 70/80's...and her experiences offer another
valuable insight into and critique of power relations...there are also many
corollaries of prostitution/porn acting to being a pop star/performer...it
all stems from the politics of desire and how that is
manipulated/commodified and profited on...
