there's always the straightforward data-bending way of opening a bitmap
(or uncompressed) image in a wave editing program, like goldwave
(windows) or soundhack (mac). theres also a commercial version of
coagula that has more parameters. a pc program called bitmaps and waves
is not so good but occasionally generates interesting sounds. if you
have (access to) a mac, i hear metasynth is nice. if you have (access
to) a *nix-type system, you could open a terminal window and see if you
can type a command that would pipe the image to the sound card. not sure
what else to suggest, as you havent told us exactly what other kinds of
parameters you want or what exactly youre trying to do.=20
