my favorites were always large application
files(MSword, powerpoint, max/msp,etc). these were
always more interesting and longer than most other
files. the max/msp application file specifically has
some really beautiful passages in there . really large
text files(books) are all mostly the same white noise,
except i found that they would consistently have a
high pitched blip at the end of varying duration.
finally realized it was probably the index....
a fun way to spend an afternoon...
