If we do this, it should be mandatory for people to cite which samples
they use, so those who generate work that is used by others can get
credit. I myself am into trying to get the program going, as I have read
about waveform segmentation synthesis (similar to techniques used by
Herbert Brun's SAWDUST app and GM Koenig's SSP), and am keen to try. But
I am pretty hopeless/hapless with geeky things like this, so it would be
nice to have that to fall back on.
Alternatively, maybe some real geek could make a nice GUI for Windows so
it's not all command line (I assume the Mac/MAX version is pretty
cushy). Also, what are the *nix-heads going to do for this project? I
know wigout was originally written for the NeXTstep platform, but I
don't know if a *nix-type version still exists.
Sorry to problematize an otherwise fine project, but I hope we can tweak
things so that more people can join in.
