Re: [microsound] Surround



Thanks for the input! Looks like I'll go for AC3. So far I have just been mixing in surround for my own enjoyment and learning - it can really make a difference and create a more intense experience.

Now I have this idea of exploiting the home theatre systems many people are buying to convert anyones living room into a multichannel sound installation.

I understand that this will not be a mass-market or even a very-tiny-market but ... well, I dont care.

Ok, I should do a little research to see if the normal home theatre dvd-player will play DVD-R's ... then I found Apples DVD Studio Pro which seem to include an AC3-encoder.
