kim,
excellent idea (and i'm not just saying that becuase 3 out of the 4 
books you mentioned are on my desk waiting to be read for my 
thesis...).  i also think that a realtime chat will be more beneficial 
than *another* email digest to read.  i don't know if anyone else is in 
the same boat, but reading 4 or 5 digests a day gets tiresome 
(especially when you've been reading all day).  this will finally make 
me ask for a login/pass on the server (which i keep forgetting about).
