RE: [microsound] {OT} Headphones....
Hi there, If you want great cans, the Sennheiser HD 600 is a must
listen. I currently use a sent driven by the diminutive Porta Corda
headphone amp. For listening on the go I use the Etymotic ER-6s. These
situate in the ear canal and provide 15 - 20 db on inherent noise
canceling. Frequency response is ruler flat! Comfort may be an issue.
Simon.

For a descent headphone i'd recommend AKG, especially the k.401 or
k.501..
I tested loads of headphones, ranging from quite cheap to pretty
expensive,
but these suit me best..
But for monitoring/reference listening, I would NEVER use any pair of
headphones though.. imho, it just isn't working. Nothing beats a nice
pair
of nearfields, especially during a mixdown of mastering-session..
greetings,
Peter
