RE: [microsound] City Of The Future - another approach
I have uploaded the samples of the spoken word material i mentioned
in an earlier post for use in the "City of the Future" project.
The folder is in the city_of_the_future drop box and is called
"architects_spoken_word". it contains these files:
about_the_files.txt
alto_mono.mp3
breuer_mono.mp3
corbusier_mono.mp3
gropius_mono.mp3
johnson_mono.mp3
kahn_mono.mp3
mies_mono.mp3
nervi_mono.mp3
neutra_mono.mp3
niemeyer_mono.mp3
oud_mono.mp3
pei_mono.mp3
saarinen_mono.mp3
sert_mono.mp3
tange_mono.mp3
wright_mono.mp3
these files are recordings which were produced over a period of 40
years with leading modernist architects. the recordings were compiled
on a CD called "The Oral History of Modern Architecture" by John
Peter in 1994.
they are 96k mono MP3 files... more than adequate bitrate for voice.
they are also available on
http://www.commtom.com/audio/city_of_the_future or at least will be
shortly.
i hope they prove useful to others.
