Re: [microsound] a "city of the future" book

i can't remember the name, so i'm not much use here, but a few years ago i
read an interesting book where the entire world basically lived in these
giant skyscrapers which skimmed the upper atmosphere - millions of people in
one skyscraper. the whole of society was divided literally on a new social
ladder of sorts, the execs and gov officials at the top, the workers on the
bottom, and so on... high concept stuff that works better on the back of a
book rather than in one, but still some nice ideas... anyone know what i'm
talking about?

graham.
