The fact is no one can predict the future, prophecy = nonsense.
No demon antichrist is going to come and rule the world and no "prophet" is
going to come 
out of the heavens to save everyone.
You have a better chance of an asteroid destroying life on earth or an extra
terrestrial invasion.
People can make the world a better place by using common sense, making
sensible decisions 
(not ancient folklore prophecy) developing technology that is beneficial to
man and the 
environment.
