[tech] c-port, pc multitrack soundcards

hey cats,

sorry to clog the list with shit, but i was wondering if anyone has a hoontech 
c-port soundcard.  or any other kind of multi-track (at least 8in/out) card for 
pc.  i am looking around for something and the c-port seems to be the way to 
go, but it's a hefty $1100 (aussie ca$h).  that's probably about $650 USD.  i'd 
like to know what you think of your card, whether you can recommend one, or 
caution against one.  people who record acoustic instruments especially 
encouraged to pipe up, but if you think it's irrelevant to everyone else,
