not really ot: writers/artist block

I really wanted to contribute to the city of the future project and had no 
problem getting on the server, getting a copy of the film and getting the 
source material..but..

I dont know if it's just 'cause it's my first submission but I've reworked 
the peice at least 7 times using different methods each time. I'm at a 
standstill, nothing feels right.  At first glance one might chock this up to 
simple inexperience, but I assure you that's not it (as I've been doing 
instalations and live performances since 1997) I'm not new to music/art, 
just to the net, email, and microsound lists.

Does anyone have this problem, or have you in the past, am I overthinking 
this?  I know this pro'bly isn't the email you wanted to read (if you've 
gotten this far, bless you).  But, if you have any advice (even negative as 
in "don't post this weepy $&*%&") it would help me greatly.
